Planning & Zoning Commission (P&Z)
The Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) meets on the second Tuesday of the month in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 3800 University Boulevard. P&Z holds public hearings to consider rezoning requests, replat requests (involving 4 or more lots) and amendments to the University Park Zoning Ordinance. All requests to be heard at P&Z must be accompanied by the following:
- A completed Planning and Zoning Commission Application (PDF)
- Two complete sets of project plans (24 by 36 inches) and one complete set of project plans (11 by 17 inches)
- Electronic version of complete set of plans; flash drive is acceptable; content and type of plans will be determined by staff after preliminary project review
- $500 filing fee
Once the application and submittal has been determined to be in accordance with City requirements, the request will be placed on the next available P&Z agenda and an advertisement of public hearing will be made.

Board of Adjustment (BOA)
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) meets the fourth Tuesday of the month in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 3800 University Boulevard. The Board holds public hearings to consider requests for variances to the University Park Zoning Ordinance and appeals to decisions made by the Community Development Department. All requests must be accompanied by the following:
- A completed application
- Two complete sets of plans (24 by 36 inches) and one complete set of plans (11 by 17 inches)
- Electronic version of complete set of plans; flash drive is acceptable; content and type of plans will be determined by staff after preliminary project review
- $500 filing fee
Once the application and submittal has been determined to be in accordance with City requirements, the request will be placed on the next available BOA agenda and an advertisement of public hearing will be made. Filing deadlines are contained in the BOA meeting schedule.
