Crime Statistics

Current Activity Reports and Monthly Reports data seek to provide the public with a general overview of crime and police-related activities at a given location or in a specified geographic area. Our goal is for this content to create "awareness" of crime in the areas where you live, work, learn, or spend your leisure time.

This data is not intended to represent "official" crime statistics for the University Park Police Department and it is inappropriate to use it in litigation or other legal or court proceedings.

Anyone interested in "official" crime statistics for legal purposes should submit a written request in conformance with the Texas Public Information Act.

Visit the How to Request Public Information page for more information.

UP Crime Statistics 2001 to 2021

For years, every February UPPD has provided residents with a recap on recent crime activity in University Park. This year, instead of a 12-month snapshot - the department’s crime analyst charted occurrences for a full range of crime categories from 2001 to 2021.  During the past 20 years, as highlighted by print and online publications that independently report on the country’s safest communities, for cities of comparable size, University Park remains among the safest places to live and work.
