Fire inspections of commercial businesses are conducted on an annual, biennial or triennial basis. Your inspection schedule is based on a community risk basis. The city will collect a $100 fee for the second re-inspection and a $150 fee for each additional re-inspection.
Home inspections are also available at a resident's request. If you would like to request a home inspection, please contact Fire Department Administrative Coordinator, Phyllis Mahan at 214-987-5380. She will schedule an appointment for an inspector to come to your residence.
