About Mayor Pro Tem Farley
Mayor Pro Tem Farley is a seventh generation Texan and has called University Park home for the last 23 years. Liz received a degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin, and a degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Liz is currently serving her third term on the Council. Prior to her election, she served on the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Park Advisory Committee and partnered with the City to raise over $200,000 for the reconstruction of our park playgrounds. She was named the first University Park Citizen of the Year in 2005. Preservation Park Cities is another of her civic involvements. Liz and her husband, Lane, have two married daughters and a son who attends Highland Park High School.
