Snider Plaza Improvements – Phase II Q&A
The City Council is wrapping up its consideration involving a second phase of improvements in Snider Plaza to address aging infrastructure, with the focus on stormwater upgrades, new pavement, sidewalk improvements, and associated landscaping. Slated to begin next spring, the project will take up to 18 months to complete.
Understandably, you may have questions surrounding the needs, objectives and project costs for this second phase of improvements in Snider Plaza. Here is a Q&A that addresses various elements and concerns.
Creation of the Snider Plaza Employee Parking Task Force
In conjunction with that improvements project, the City is creating a Snider Plaza Employee Parking Task Force. Comprised of eight to 10 members, the group will include Snider Plaza property owners, merchants and residents who live nearby. Their purpose is straight forward - examining options for parking for Snider Plaza employees and developing recommendations for City Council consideration. By mid-November the City Council will finalize the composition and membership of the taskforce, and select a chair. City staff will help support the task force by providing information and resources, and they will assist the group with meeting logistics. The task force will be asked to conclude their work in April 2024, and present the City Council with recommendations by May 2024.
