SMU Center for Faith and Learning is excited to announce the 2023 Faith and Learning Symposium!
This year's subject is "Faith and the Awakened Brain: How Spirituality Fosters Mental Health." Our keynote is Dr. Lisa Miller, Professor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University and the New York Times bestselling author of The Awakened Brain and The Spiritual Child. Dr. Miller will be joined by panelists Rev. Dr. Lyn Pace, Chaplain of Oxford College at Emory University, and Dr. Farnoosh Nouri, Clinical Assistant Professor of Counseling at SMU and a practicing psychotherapist.
The symposium will take place on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in the James M. Collins Executive Education Center. We will have a wine and cheese reception at 5:00pm, and our program will begin at 6:00pm. Both the reception and program are free and open to the public, but please register to reserve your seat! Parking will be available for off-campus visitors.
